Bali: Nightlife Schedule Monday to Sunday
Hand on your heart – Who’s also completely losing the sense of time in Bali and needs to think twice about the fact if its Monday, Wednesday or already Friday. Right I am being honest, sometimes I wake up and I don’t even know what day actually is. This is mainly caused because everyone here is trying to make the most of a day, everyday. There is no separation between working days and weekends. Shops are not closing at 8pm latest as in Germany (or are completely dead on Sunday – forget to buy anytime there on that day). People here are not trying to survive Monday till Friday in a frustrated way for finally chasing free time for themselves and do what makes them actually happy on Saturdays and Sundays. People here pursue their jobs on Thursday and are going out after at the same day because it gives them the energy for still doing it. And I think that mindset and sense for activity is exactly what a healthy work-life balance looks like. Everyday is an amazing day we can be grateful for – so we shouldn’t waste it and use that 24 hours for what makes us happy
So I want to give you guys a “little schedule” about where you can go at the evening or night for sunset, dancing or even clubbing from Canggu down to Seminyak and South Bali like Uluwatu – as the amount of spots can be a bit overwhelming now. Of course every day is different and that’s just my personal experience what works best for me. So choose by your own location, preference of music and time:
Monday:
Old Man’s Canggu (Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong No.117X, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80351; Opening hours 5pm – 1am): After Luigi’s closes, everyone knows where to go next: Old Man’s is 5 minutes away and perfect to bridge over the time until Sandbar is opening it’s doors. The drinks are cheap here and the vibe is always chilled. Music: Commercial Pop
Tuesday:
Shady Pig (Taman Tamora, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80111; Opening hours 6pm – 3am): This venue coming from Birmingham originally is one of the most fanciest spots I’ve entered in Bali, Although it is super small, It’s such an experience you can enjoy while staying in Bali. It starts with the location itself as you can barely recognize it. Furthermore they have a password at the door you can only enter with on special occasions. Secondly the place includes dances with real snakes you are not allowed to make photos or videos of. It has such an exclusive and high quality vibe with nice drinks and music. Definitely in insider! Music: Commercial House
Da Maria Bali (Jl. Petitenget No.170, Kerobokan Kelod, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361; Opening hours 5pm – late): As you can see we have a lot of pizza days here, then besides Luigi’s on Monday and Milano I mentioned before Da Maria in Seminayk is another spot if you crave carbs and Italian vibes. The interior is kind of different as it is hold in blue and white which gives me some Santorini memories. The best and most famous party here called INNO is happening on Wednesdays. I have to admit, the music totally meets my taste. Apparently it does for a lot of people because it’s always fully packed. So try to catch the free entry on the guestlist until 11pm. If you go there by scooter be careful tho about the traffic around there, as it’s crazy like shit and you don’t want to get hit by a car as it happened to me almost one time. But that’s another story. Music: Hip Hop/ R’N’B
Vault Bali (Jl. Pantai Berawa No.99, Tibubeneng, Badung, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361; Opening hours 10pm – 3am): The combination of Milano first and Vault after actually works perfectly as they are located 2 minutes away from each other. Don’t miss the entrance, as you can’t barely see this club at the first sight which makes it even more mysterious and to one of my favorites. You need to go downstairs and find your way based on their slogan “we live underground”. But when you finally reach the lion’s den you will get a setting you were not expecting for. The visual experience here made of red lights and a huge animation screen is from another level and is giving me such amazing London vibes (and that’s one of the best cities with the nicest clubbing experience I mad in my life so far). As Vault reaches the same level, I feel always homesick here. It’s is open 4x per week. but for me personally the best party is happening on Wednesdays for CHEDDAR as that’s the day when the real magic is happening! So now – if you know, you know – include it in your Bali nightlife schedule because it’s totally worth it! Music: Afro Latin Dancehall Hip-Hop
Thursday:
La Favela Bali (Jalan Laksamana Oberoi No.177X, Seminyak, Kec. Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80561; Opening hours 7pm – late): Have you ever been to Rio de Janeiro? No? Well I’ve been there and Cristo Redentor looks exactly the same at La Favela in Bali besides the fact that it’s not located on a high but on the way to the restroom. Another thing this place has in common with Brazil is the amount of people as it’s always crowed. That’s why it’s at least a little bit better to come here during the week. However, this club is designed as a huge jungle with different floors and music types why it’s one of Bali’s most exquisite hotspots, The basements function is a restaurant. The first floor represents a mix of commercial and hip hop. On the top floor all the electro fans are having a good time. They even have a photobox here you can use with your friends to catch all the best moments of the night. So I think you will definitely not getting bored there. Music: Commercial Pop, Hip Hop, Electro
Friday:
Saturday:
Ulu Cliffhouse (Jl. Labuan Sait No. 315, Padang-Padang, Bali, Indonesia; Opening hours 12pm – 12am): This beach club is as the one I mentioned before in Uluwatu as well, located south-west the coast tho. I would recommend to come here for Saturdays as well because the trip already takes so long. Furthermore if you are interested in electronic house music, this spot is famous for it. Located on the cliffs of Bali it gives you a nice experience with an amazing setting. Music: Electronic/Techno
Atlas Beach Festival (Jl. Pantai Berawa No.88, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361; Opening hours 10am – 12am): When I came to Bali in May they actually started building this beach club. After maybe 3 months they developed Bali’s so called “No.1 Destination and Largest One-Stop Entertainment Center”. And this name is literally describing it on point. You can see the lightning show and sometimes even fireworks from this place all over Canggu. There is the longest beach bar in Asia, the longest pool side in southeast Asia and the biggest street market in Bali. You can go shopping here or even spend your time at at the gym if you are totally bored and don’t know what to do with your time. This place is so huge (to be honest, for me it’s a little bit too much) I was barely able to find the exit at the first time when I came. In addition it is full of tourists spending a lot of money there. The general admission just for walk-ins which only includes access to the pool area and a voucher for selected drink is 150.000 IDR (around 10 Euro). The price for day bed starts around 4.000.000 IDR (250 Euro) and if you just want to see a special Dj playing on Saturday from 9pm you need to buy a ticket at least for that (price depends on the artist). So as you can see – it’s not a cheap place. But it deserve it’s position in that list because it will just take your breath away and you will literally think “that’s insane” for sure. Music: House/Electronic
Finns Beach Club (Jl. Pantai Berawa No.99, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361; Opening hours 10am – 12am): Finns Beach Club offers a piece of paradise with the choice of: 4 pools, 9 bars (including 2 swim up pool bars), 5 restaurants, daily DJs, live vocalists and stunning sunsets – at the most well known beach in Bali – Berawa, Canggu. The Beach Club’s architecture has been specially designed with a bamboo structure for guaranteed sunsets views. The good thing is, the entry is for free even on Saturdays and no minimum spend applied after 8pm what makes joining this beach club super convenient. Happy hour is happening between 7pm – 9pm and means that you buy one and get one for free! As all the other beach clubs mentioned before, it’s closing around midnight. So best time to come here already for sunset. Music: Commercial/House
ShiShi Bali (Jl. Petitenget No.208X, Kerobokan Kelod, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361; Opening hours 6pm – 3am): Known as Bali’s most elite dining & nightlife venue located in Seminyak Bali it’s open 7 days per week from Monday till Sunday from 6pm starting with dinner. They have food promotions with different types of infusion kitchen everyday, But on Wednesdays for example ladies night is happening there from 8pm till 10pm. And on Saturday they offer an all you can eat promo for 199.000 IDR (around 12 Euro) which is pretty good as the Sushi is super high in quality and apparently one of the best (Ok I need to admit, I personally never ate there because I am probably the only person in the world who – besides beer – doesn’t like Sushi either). But as I know from friends, the reservations are limited and only possible for 2 hours in total. After having an amazing dinner and rolling from the table you can shake it off on the two dance floors which have two different types of music as well. Girls are for free, guys need to pay entry for 160.000 IDR (around 11 Euro) and get a voucher for a free drink to consume. Cheers! Music: 1. floor house/techno, 2. floor commercial/hip-hop
Sunday:
Single Fin Bali (Uluwatu, Pantai Suluban, Jl. Labuansait, Pecatu, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361; Opening hours 8am – 1am): Last but not least, the best surf bar in Uluwatu will finish the Bali Nightlife Schedule from Monday till Sunday. You can actually spend the whole day here and either go for a surf or just watch them from above – the view itself is worth coming here. On Sundays from 5pm onwards they do special parties with LIVE music and half off cocktails and pizza, with what you guys can start all over again on Monday as Bali apparently has an extraordinary good ability for the Italian cousine. Music: House
